A big blast - lots of items
A quick note this week, focused on a few important messages we want to share...
The Home & Garden Show down at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center is starting today, Friday, March 5th. Construction Junction is there as always with our ever so fabulous booth. Be sure to pay us a visit if you make a trip to the Home Show. We'll have chairs where you can sit and rest for a moment. Maybe even coffee! That is of course, if the staff doesn't drink it all.
It's March... a very exciting month for a number of reasons! First off, March precludes April and soon shopping at CJ won't require ten layers of clothing. Second, March brings the first day of spring and the associated unfolding of our Organic Garden Department. And third, the arrival of March means that all of the items remaining in our store from February are now 10% off. Be sure to double click on the recent arrival photos to see a larger picture as well as a note as to whether the item's from February.
We have a whole bunch of new items this week which we're very excited about as is little Jamison to the right here who walked through our store practically the whole time on his tippy toes. So cute!
We're beginning to wonder if there is a direct correlation between the volume of snow melt and the volume of incoming donations. Happy shopping and we hope you're enjoying the sunshine Pittsburgh is getting as of late.

Hard to Recycle Collection Schedule 2010
The Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) has released their 2010 Hard to Recycle collection schedule. Collection dates are set for:
- Saturday, May 8th
- Saturday, June 26th
- Saturday, July 17th
- Saturday, September 25th
- Saturday, October 16th
All collections events run from 10am to 2pm. Acceptable items include: tires, E-waste, useable building materials, medical supplies, cell phones, alkaline batteries, CFLs, and printer/toner cartridges. Some fees apply.

Russ -- All of our organic supplies are coming in next week and our goal is to have the garden department set up and those products available on the first day of spring... March 21st. Just a few weeks away!! -- Cozmo
