The Pillow Project @ CJ
PLEASE NOTE: CJ will be closed on Sunday, April 4 for Easter.
The Pillow Project is a local dance company that has been renting The Space Upstairs from Construction Junction for many years. It has been a real joy for us to have The Pillow Project as our neighbors and we've loved watching the company grow over the years. This year's upcoming schedule looks very exciting and we wanted to be sure to share it with you.
Each Second Saturday from April-August The Pillow Project hosts an arts event in The Space Upstairs with live music, local artists, and dance. 7-11pm, $8 suggested donation
- APRIL 10: Jazz on the Pale Blue Dot - Some physical postcards from just another dot in the sky
- MAY 8: Uncharted Syncopations - Explorations in physicalizing audio with PJ Roduta
- JUNE 12: Micrography - A brief experiment in quantum-choreography and other small art
- JULY 10: Hot Box - Performance-art and installations inspired by a plastic-planet
- AUGUST 14: The SwankEasy - Nothing but jazz and words as we burn the neon one last time
The Pillow Project is an ever-evolving idea for creating new methods in multimedia choreography, jazz movement and conceptual performances. The resident artists of The Pillow Project are compelled to create relevant, contemporary work as our artistic expression of The Now. The Pillow Project is an experimental performing artist collective dedicated to igniting a unique cultural movement in Pittsburgh. Through original performance-art happenings and multi-media installations, they articulate impassioned commentaries on the zeitgeist, ask fundamental questions about our reality, share their wildest imaginations and explore the art of spontaneity.

The CJ Buzz
We're very excited to announce, for our April customer reward and in celebration of Earth Day, the return of the much loved Litterbug Bobbleheads. During the month of April, staff will be hiding 10 Litterbug Bobbleheads throughout CJ’s retail space. Track down a Bobblehead, bring it to CJ’s cashier when you’re ready to check out and get 20% off your purchase. Our Litterbug Bobbleheads have been given to us courtesy of Pennysylvania Resources Council (PRC).
The Litterbug Bobbleheads could be hiding in drawers, cabinets, display cases or behind items. We're going to get creative! We do promise however that all Litterbugs... ten each day for the entire month, will be accessible and within easy reach. The earlier you arrive... the greater your chances of finding a Litterbug and saving 20% off your purchase.
Remember, Litterbug Bobbleheads will be escaping onto CJ’s sales floor throughout the month of April. Have fun hunting!

CJ Q&A
Can I put high tensile steel wire fencing in your scrap metal dumpster? -- Christine
Christine -- Sure. We appreciate contributions to our scrap metal dumpster so please feel free to bring us any scrap metal that you have. Just be sure to see a staff person as a first order of business before tossing anything into the dumpster. We get extra nosy when we don't know everything that's going on. -- Cozmo
Cozmo’s Message of the Week
I have a special advantage in finding the Litterbug Bobbleheads and saving 20%... I can smell them.
