Paint recycling

As of Sunday, May 1st, 2011, Construction Junction will no longer be accepting used latex paint donations.  Unfortunately, accepting latex paint has resulted in unmanageable handling and disposal costs for our organization.

We are trying to find a creative solution but for now we want to let folks know that:

1) we do have a very high quality and affordable, 95% recycled content latex paint available in 12 standard colors for sale at $13.50/Gallon and 48.50/Five Gallon bucket. This paint is created from useable paint collected at Household Hazardous waste events like the event mentioned below.

2) take your used latex paint to a household chemical collection event held throughout the year. For a list of events see below or go to www.zerowastepgh.org

CJ Q&A

I had some family members stop in last month and they were surprised and really pleased with CJ.  They wanted to know if you have similiar sites throughout the states, particularly in South Carolina, North Carolina and/or California.  I use your tile pieces for arts and crafts projects and at our family reunions I'm in charge of activities, so let me know.  -- Velma

Hi Velma...  As of right now there is only one "Construction Junction", BUT lucky for you... there are many many nonprofit and for profit reuse centers across the country that are just like CJ.  We know, we've been to many of them.  The Building Materials Reuse Association has a great national directory that we always refer people to.  On their site you'll find 17 reuse centers in South Carolina, 55 in North Carolina and 180 in California!  Best of luck to you.  -- Cozmo
