The CJ Buzz

Bonnie just gave me the low down on what's coming into CJ and it's some good stuff.

  • An acre of carpet squares... no joke!  We're getting thousands of square feet of barely used, commercial grade, 18" x 18" carpet squares.  The colors are neutral.  If we remember correctly... in the blues and tans.  The logistics need to be worked out as of yet, but we'll keep you posted as to when this donation will be arriving.
  • Arriving Friday August 22, 2008... thirty (that's 30!) matching bookshelves from an attorney's office.  The bookshelves are wood, cherry in color, and approximately 4' wide by 7' high.  Shelves are adjustable.
  • Next week we'll be receiving the contents of an office including five or so nice conference tables, 75 - 80 newer office chairs, four kitchenettes and six mini kitchenettes with stainless steel tops.

New Sold Item Policy

Last month, July 2008, Construction Junction broke a record.  We had more purchases in that month than in any month prior...  2558 to be exact.  This certainly is very good news and we appreciate your continued and loyal support.  As we grow we work to improve our operations and as such, starting Monday August 4, 2008, we're adopting a new sold item policy.

CJ Q&A

I was wondering whether you accept old computer monitors?  Is there a fee? -- Ryan

Do you recycle computer floppy disks and/or CD-ROMs? -- Alexis

Ryan and Alexis  --  Construction Junction has started a new collaboration with an E-Waste recycling company called eLoop and as such the answer to your questions is YES.  See the announcement above for more great information about eLoop and how this new program works.  This is a fee based service and the cost for recycling a computer monitor is $10.  Floppy disks and/or CD media costs $0.10 each (that's ten cents each).  --  Cozmo
