Expanded hours
By popular demand... we're going back to being open until 6pm during the week.
We tested these new hours this past summer and the change was very well received. We've decided to make the change permanent and are very glad to share this news with you.
Additionally, because the weekends are our busiest times, we've also decided to add two more weekend hours and will be open from 10am to 5pm on Sundays.
Effective Sunday, December 18th, our permanent hours of operation are expanding to:
- Sunday 10am to 5pm
- Monday 9am to 6pm
- Tuesday 9am to 6pm
- Wednesday 9am to 6pm
- Thursday 9am to 6pm
- Friday 9am to 6pm
- Saturday 9am to 5pm

BIG NEWS... We just received word that eLoop, our e-waste partner, is now able to recycle Christmas lights. So... starting immediately, CJ is now accepting Christmas lights in addition to e-waste, all at no charge. It's a beautiful thing!

Wilkinsburg Toy Drive

Wilkinsburg residents are looking for ways to help each other in difficult times, particularly those families struggling to provide toys for their children. Toys are a crucial part of childhood and help children learn many concepts through play.
The Wilkinsburg Toy Drive serves children from birth to the age of 18, especially targeting children between 13 – 18 as most toy drives do not accommodate children in that age group. The Drive will be collecting toys and monetary donations (to purchase toys). Toys will be distributed on Saturday, December 17th in the Wilkinsburg Business District during a party with Santa, cookies, hot chocolate and all of the trimmings that go with the holiday season.
You can help out in several ways:
- Serve as a sponsor for the Toy Drive by making a monetary or in-kind donation to help with the party. This is a wonderful way for your business to gain exposure in Wilkinsburg. Your business will be recognized in all event information and on any media related items. Checks can be made payable to Wilkinsburg Borough with "Toy Drive" in the memo line and mailed to Wilkinsburg Borough, Attn: Wilkinsburg Toy Drive, 605 Ross Street, Wilkinsburg, PA 15221. No gift is too small when it comes to making a child’s wish come true!
- Put up a toy collection box in your place of business. Call us and let us know that you would be willing to put up a box to collect new toys.
- Volunteer! This is a great opportunity for individuals, families and organizations to get involved. Volunteers high-school age and older only please.
We will be picking up the toys on December 15th and ask that any donation be sent in by December 13th which will give Santa’s elves time to do their magic. All gifts should be new and unwrapped.
