Deconstructable Me
Join the minions who have chosen to deconstruct (salvage) before demolition.
Just this year alone we have completed deconstructed projects for clients as diverse as Oakland Planning and Development to Turner Dairy. We deconstructed a playground from an elementary school (thanks for access Turner Construction) and donated it to Wilkinsburg Borough. We’ve deconstructed houses in the south (Mt. Lebanon), east (Plum), and north (Allison Park)!
And brought back materials as basic as floor joists to pine flooring; from kitchen cabinets to built in library shelves to the spectacular one of a kind items like this bronze vestibule (pictured below) pulled from a building designed by the architect Benno Jannsen and constructed in 1929 in Butler. PA.
This project also included removal of a large curved marble customer service station complete with decorative windows and doors!
Call Brian Swearingen (pictured) for a walk-through of your deconstruction project and perhaps you can join the minions of those choosing reuse. Brian can be reached at 412-512-1413.
Please email Mike Gable at mgable@constructionjunction.org if you are interested in buying any of these unique materials for your next project.
