Volunteers Wanted!
Construction Junction has a small but very dedicated staff. Many of the faces you have grown to know (and love) when you walk in the door are the same week in and week out. Our staff is invaluable but sadly, there just arn't enough people to get all of the side projects (and sometimes even the day to day stuff) done.
This is where you come in! CJ loves volunteers, often times we get large groups in for one time service commitments on the weekends, but we also love individuals who are willing to donate a few hours every week to help us keep our store on track! Two of the most recent needs are our specialty hardware section and our guest bathrooms.
All of the specialty hardware that we get in needs to be processed and sorted. Our front end coordinator, Lori, often needs help processing the specialty hardware and getting it out on the floor. This job would involve a 4 hour week commitment!
CJ would also like to find help in renovating our guest bathrooms. This would be a one time commitment of possibly a few days. Staff would be on hand to help and CJ would supply the materials. We are looking for folks with experience in bathroom renovations to come in and help us with this undertaking!
We also have many weekly volunteer jobs such as sales floor cleaning and weekend customer service assistance! Pancake Breakfast for PedalPGH
June 30, 2012Come eat pancakes, help register people for Pedal Pittsburgh, and give out BikePGH materials at the Annual Pancake Breakfast benefitting Pedal Pittsburgh, a fundraiser for Bike Pittsburgh. The breakfast will be held outside under the big white tent.
Kids Healthy Lungs Boot Camp
July 7, 2012Join the folks at Bakery Square and Childrens Hosptial of pittsburgh at their healthy Lungs Boot Camp! Bring 6 to 11 year olds for a fun filled afternoon learning about nutrition, allergies, pollution and exercise. A guardian must accompany participants.
