Cozmo saves you $$ in October

October is a customer reward month and our favorite wonder dog is making it happen.  Throughout the month, say Cozmo's secret message when checking out and save an extra 10% on your purchase, above and beyond all other discounts.  As always, a few minor restrictions apply... e.g. the XPS blue board insulation is excluded.  Be sure to read Cozmo's message below and say it (with enthusiasm of course) when you bring your purchases up to the register!

CJ's pilot deconstruction project is moving along splendidly.  The project began this past Monday September 22nd and will be completed on Friday September 26th, right on schedule.  Construction Junction's deconstruction crew has been learning, learning, learning all week long.  Dave Bennick of RE-USE Consulting has been wonderful to work with as have our project partners including: East Liberty Development Inc., Senator Jim Ferlo, Mayor Luke Ravenstal, Urban Redevelopment Authority, Iron City Excavating and Allegheny Construction Management.

See the recent article about this project in Pop City.  Plus, we'd like to share some photos of the project with you (click on the thumbnails to enlarge).  Now that we have this project under our belt we're that much closer to realizing our goal of being able to, one day, offer the Pittsburgh region an economically viable alternative to traditional "crunch and munch" demolition.

The CJ Buzz

CJ has received two truckloads of brand new ClosetMaid wire and laminate storage systems, organizers and accessories. All items are brand new and priced at 50% of what they would be retail.

We will have all of the items out on the sales floor by 9am Saturday morning (September 27th) when we open.

The last photo (above) shows the lumber we've harvested from our pilot deconstruction project.  We'll be bringing this lumber, which includes some flooring, back to CJ by Saturday September 27th

CJ Q&A

Hey CJ, I was wondering if it would be possible to put a small seperate container (or just a big cardboard box) out for canning jars for people to reuse for home use?  I myself would be more than happy to pay for them.  The one time I saw some beautiful old jars in the recycling bin, the collection truck got to the dumpster before I could.  -- Renee

Renee --  Great question.  Construction Junction will accept canning jars.  So if anyone out there has any canning jars they don't want anymore, bring them to our donation drop off dock, as opposed to putting them in the glass recycling bins in our parking lot.  We'll put them out on the sales floor, likely somewhere up near our register.  -- Cozmo
