Good Times & News

Here at CJ we're always amazed at the wide array of donations that come in.  For example, the other day we uncovered some wacky old-time goggles at the bottom of a box.  Of course, being the fun loving group of environmental junkies that we are, we had to give them our own special test drive.  From left to right, that's Bill who works on our salvage & deconstruction crew, Ben who works on our 22' box truck and Marc who works in our warehouse helping to make sense of it all.

The CJ Buzz

Some of you may remember that CJ received a tractor trailer load of fabulous brand new merchandise from an organization called Waste to Charity this past July.  Half of the truck was light fixtures and the other half was miscellaneous industrial supply.  CJ was very excited about this delivery and hopeful we could develop a long standing relationship with this nationally based nonprofit that shares our mission of keeping perfectly good and useable materials from going to the landfill.

Well we have good news... our relationship with Waste to Charity continues as we hoped.  As such, we've just received another big truckload, 22 pallets worth!  Once again, half the load consists of brand new (still in box) light fixtures and the other half consists of miscellaneous industrial supply products.  We're having a blast unpacking the crates and we think this truckload seems even better than the last one.  So... happy treasure hunting and we hope you find some goodies.

A little bit about Waste to Charity (WTC).  WTC has been accepting donations and providing quality products to those in need around the world for the past five years.  The organization dedicates their time, energy and resources to helping the under served population by soliciting donations from both corporate America and individuals and redistributing them to those in need.  Waste to Charity's goal is to make a difference in the world by partnering with both business and individual members.  Acceptable inventory donations for Waste to Charity include excess, obsolete and end-of-the-season merchandise such as clothing, cars, computers, product overruns and foods nearing expiration dates.  For decades, corporate America has been an advocate of philanthropy, and Waste to Charity makes it easier for managers, CFO's and CEO's to make a difference in the world by simply donating their surplus of stock.
