Faster photo views

Last week as I was perusing our e-Blast's recent arrivals I inadvertantly hit the right arrow key and made a wonderful discovery.  You know how you click on the recent arrival photo thumbnails to see a bigger picture...  Well if you hit the right or left arrow key while looking at the blown up picture then you'll move through the photos while in that view.  So, no need to hit the "X" to close the photo and then click on the next thumbnail to see a larger view.  Instead just hit the right and left arrow keys!!!  This is much faster and easier and the arrow keys roll you through all photos including the 'featured items' and the 'great and gones'.  We'll have to have our web design firm, Lava New Media, add little left and right arrows in the bottom right corner of each photo view when we implement the next phase of our website updates.

Also, just so you know, we'll be acheiving two goal's before year's end.  First, we'll be thoroughly updating our website's 'Recycling & Resources' page as we want Construction Junction to be a "go to" resource for all things green in Pittsburgh and second, we'll be updating our website's staff page.  Currently eighteen folks work at CJ and each is wackier than the next.  Oh and we have one dog.  He's the sane one.

The CJ Buzz

We are exploring a partnership that would allow us to stock recycled latex paint.  The recycled paint would be blended from the donated paint we receive with virgin paint to ensure quality and consistency.  This means we would have larger quantities of the same color while maintaining high quality standards.  The price for this paint would be less than comparable paint available in the retail market (typically $20 - $60 per gallon).

We'd like to hear from you regarding two issues:  1) Would you buy this paint? 2) How much would you pay per gallon?  Please take a moment to email us at info@constructionjunction.org.  Indicate "paint" in your subject line.  Thanks.

CJ Q&A

I'd like to find a tumbling composter.  Do you ever have them donated?  -- Rhoda

Rhoda --  We have yet to see a tumbling composter come in as a donation.  And while one never knows, I wouldn't bet the farm on it happening.  Instead, you might want to consider two other options.  Come spring, CJ will have Earth Machine composters for sale again.  These are the same composters you can get by taking a composting class through the Pennsylvania Resources Council.  The second option would be to look into various tumbling composters available via mail order, such as the popular and well know CompostTumbler brand.  Hope this helps.  -- Cozmo
