Christmas Trees at CJ
Temperatures are falling, and that means the Four Frozen Farmers are rolling in from the fields. This December you can find them (Jen, Josh, Neil and Susanna) where you've always found them... standing around a campfire right here at Construction Junction.
As in the past, the farmers will be surrounded by hundreds of beautiful, locally grown Christmas trees and more than a few wreaths, made fresh on site. Trees will be Firs and range in size from 3' to 9'.
But this December they'll be here for ONLY ONE WEEKEND!!
December 12th thru 14th from 9 am to 9 pm each day.
"So come on out, share a cup of cocoa with us, and we'll help you find the perfect tree."
As in the past, a portion of the Farmer's proceeds benefit Construction Junction.
The CJ Buzz
Don't forget... we have a fabulous customer reward program running through out the month of December that we're calling "The CJ Good Cheer" reward. Here's how it works:
Through out the month, ask for your CJ Good Cheer Coupon upon completing your purchase. The coupon will be valid on subsequent days and be good for 15% off purchases over $20. You can use your CJ Good Cheer coupon yourself or give it to a friend.
This is our way of saying Happy Holidays to you! So don't forget to pick up your coupon and spread the CJ good cheer.

Jonkanoo Festival
This Saturday the Legacy Arts Project is hosting Pittsburgh’s first ever Jonkanoo Festival. Traditionally this event is held in the Caribbean; it celebrates life that sprung from a people enslaved in body but not in mind or spirit. Pittsburgh’s day will build on this tradition and also strive to educate participants about greening.
The festival will be held Saturday December 6th from 10 AM to 7 PM at the Kingsley Center in East Liberty. At the Jonkanoo Festival the Legacy Arts Project is using the "arts as a vehicle to raise consciousness and encourage participation of inner city residents in the Greening of America."
CJ Q&A
Hi. I was wondering if you accept #6 and #7 plastics or if you know a place where I can take them to? I know you accept #1-5 at the drop off station, however, I've been researching where to take the more rare plastics and I can't seem to find a straight forward answer on that. Can you help me out on that? Thanks -- Renee
Renee -- We've done some research, but to no avail. So we're throwing this question out to the community at large. If you have any answers, please email us at info@constructionjunction.org. Much appreciated -- Cozmo
