Tools! Paint! Trees!
We have a ton of exciting news... Thousands of new and barely used name brand hand tools have just arrived and we'll be selling them at half their retail value. Additionally, high quality recycled paint will be arriving early next week. And last but not least, the Christmas trees are here and the aroma of the holiday season is filling the air.
Tools! Tools! Tools!
We've received tools from a vocational school for the following trades: carpentry, welding, electrical, HVAC and precision machining. Tools will be sold individually and in complete sets... such as a "carpentry tool box." Prices will be 50% of their typical retail value and tool box sets will be discounted even further. Many of the tools are still in their original packaging and all others are barely used. Brand names include Waterloo, Irwin, Vaughan, Stanley, Swanson, Lufkin, Johnson, Kobalt, Task Force, Klein, Nicholson, Wiss and more. The photo shows a carpentry tool box set. We expect the tools to start hitting our sales floor on Wednesday, December 17th.
Recycled Paint!
We've decided to test market recycled paint and have purchased two pallets worth from Amazon Environmental, the nation's leading recycler of leftover latex paint. Amazon uses leftover latex paint to manufacture recycled content paint that is comparable in quality to virgin paint sold by national manufacturers. Amazon Select® recycled content paint is available in 12 pre-mixed colors, is environmentally preferable to virgin paints, and carries both the Green Seal and Master Painters Institute stamp of approval. Any leftover paint not recycled, is manufactured into an alternative raw material used in the manufacture of cement. Using these processes, Amazon is able to beneficially recycle virtually 100% of the leftover paint they receive.
We're getting both 5 gallon pails and 1 gallon cans in the following colors: whipped white, ivory white, desert beige, moss green and ice blue. We'll be pricing this paint very competively. If this test marketing effort goes well, then we'll likely decide to carry recycled paint as a standard item. We expect the paint to start hitting our sales floor on Tuesday, December 16th.
Christmas Trees! (see them right behind all of those spiffy toolboxes)
The Four Frozen Farmers, having rolled in from the fields, are now in CJ's lower parking lot. As in the past, the farmers are surrounded by hundreds of beautiful, locally grown Christmas trees (Firs from 3' - 9') and more than a few wreaths made fresh on site. But they're here for ONE WEEKEND ONLY!! This Friday, December 12th thru Sunday December 14th from 9 am to 9 pm each day.

Does CJ accept old microwave ovens to be recycled? If not, can you make a suggestion as to where we might take it for proper disposal. Thank you. -- Laura
Laura -- Thanks for your question. If the microwave is working then we can take it and put it out on our sales floor. If it is not, then you can toss it in our scrap dumpster so the metals get recycled. -- Cozmo
