e-Blast

March 23- March 29, 2009

Discounts, Rewards, Buzz

We have three pieces of information we'd like to share with you this week.

First... it has come to our attention that most folks don't realize that Construction Junction offers a standing discount to East End Food Co-op members.  If you're a member of the Food Co-op then show us your membership card and save 5% off your purchase any time you shop all year long.

Second... April is a customer reward month and that means even more opportunities for you to save.  This time our customer reward will be based on a simple trade.  If we have your email address in our computer system then you can save 10% off your purchase any time and every time you shop in April.

Because Construction Junction is ten years old this year, we're shooting for a very specific goal which is to hit 10,000 folks on our e-Blast mailing list by December 2009.  We're a little over 8,500 now so the push is on.  You can help by forwarding our e-Blasts to friends and family who you think would enjoy receiving it.

Third... the buzz below is really good so be sure to read it.

The CJ Buzz

It's a BIG BUZZ week which can be summed up in a few short but exceedingly exciting words... snack bar, furniture, tile, cabinets and carpet.

Snack Bar - We're getting the snack bar from St. Clair Hospital (March 31st)!!

Furniture - A truck load of very nice furniture including couches, lamps, end tables, bed frames, coffee tables, dressers, etc. (today - March 27th).

Tile - Two pallets of brand new matching ceramic tile (today - March 27th).

Cabinets - An entire truck load of mostly new mix and match cabinets from the northern hinterlands (April 2nd).

Carpet - Three gargantuan rolls of brand new carpet plus many smaller rolls of remnants (April 1st - no joking).

CJ Q&A

I am a regular shopper at CJ, and I know that you have a large vermicomposter.  I am looking to make my own (out of reclaimed materials, of course!), but am having difficulty sourcing the worms locally.  Do you sell them or know of a local supplier where I could buy them?  I would rather support a local business than buy online, but I am stumped.  Thanks and I'll be over for some garden stuff this week.  Can't wait to get into the garden! -- Jen

Jen -- Our Worms for a Better World vermicomposting bin is managed by the Pennsylvania Resources Council (PRC) who also supplied the original batch of worms.  Give Lauren at PRC a call (412.488.7490) and we're sure she can give you some good information about the best places to buy worms.  -- Cozmo
