e-Blast

April 27- May 3, 2009

Chair sale

There are a number of interesting phenomenons that occur with Construction Junction's inventory.  At times, although we know it's not possible... it seems as though our inventory has a life of its own.

Phenomenon #1 - Requested items not currently on inventory magically appear within a few hours or days after being requested.  For example, recently we had one customer call in and ask if we have any good quality, large capacity, commercial ice making machines on hand.  At the time of course we didn't, as ice making machines are not a common item we have on inventory.  But... guess what appears one day later?!?  Yes... a high quality, large capacity, commercial ice making machine.  It even included a bonus... a good quality water filtration system.  Cosmic isn't it!  It happens all the time and of course we love that it does.

Phenomenon #2 - Inventory comes in waves.  We'll go months without getting a certain type of item and then boom... we're slammed with nothing but.  It never fails that this phenomenon involves lots of lifting, shifting and moving to make way for the tidal wave on the sales floor.  It's also a good bet that a special sale will emerge and thus the subject line of this week's e-Blast.  As we're currently swimming in chairs, we're having a chair sale.  All chairs with a red "X" are $2.

The CJ Buzz

When Bonnie, our Donation Manager, gets excited... you know it's a 'big buzz' week.  This week Bonnie's excited about a number of things coming in next week including:

  • three incoming kitchen sets (thank you Tri County Kitchens!!),
  • 2 -3 pallets of residential & commercial venting materials including double wall pipe vents,
  • 6 - 8 pallets of fire brick,
  • metal door slabs, and
  • brand new temporary electrical service boxes.

She's also particularly excited about two donations that just arrived... display cases and granite.  The display cases are coming from The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and there will be eighteen of these beauties.  The granite is coming from UPMC and in its previous life served as the 'face' of Montifiore Hospital.  Both of these donations are in our Recent Arrivals for the week.  We can't tell you how we appreciate receiving these and all other donations to our organization.  Thank you.
