Customer reuse story

We love it when we receive emails from customers with stories and pictures of how they used Construction Junction materials in a project.  Recently we got such a great story from one customer that we just had to share it so here it goes...

I converted part of our barn loft from hay storage into an art studio.  Construction Junction made it possible.  The project lasted 18 months, and parts always showed up on the sales floor when I reached a bottleneck.

First, we needed stairs instead of a ladder.  The stair, railings, and framing lumber came from CJ.  I was lucky to find barn timbers rough cut at full 2x4 dimension to match existing wood.  Same size, same aged color.  Amazing.

Then I needed knee walls in the loft.  CJ got pallet loads of 5 & 6 foot long 2x4's.  90% of the wall framing was done with this lumber.

The windows and door are better than we could buy at a consumer home store (by an order of magnitude).  So are the lights with parabolic diffusers and electronic ballasts.  Price is not the only benefit of shopping at Construction Junction - I often find commercial grade components.  It is a joy to work with high quality material.   --- David Bangley

The CJ Buzz

All of us here at CJ are happy to share that we're currently in the throws of making phase two renovations to our website.  While some of the improvements will happen behind the scenes, others are specifically designed to improve and expand the experience one has when visiting our website.  We expect to be finished with the following improvements by mid - late June.

  • Improved e-Blast archive navigation.
  • Improved Contact Us page to allow for more targeted communications between CJ staff and our constituency.
  • New section that allows customers to post photos of their reuse projects.
  • New section that allows the purchase of web-only merchandise, Steel City Big Pour T-shirts and gift cards.
  • And last, but certainly not least, an expanded section for our very popular annual Steel City Big Pour event.

CJ Q&A

I am a Pittsburgh native in Washington state and return home for family, friends, and beer.  The last two years, you could have found me at the PA Microbrewers fest.  This year, I've been told about the Big Pour.  The day I hear that 2009's date is set, I'm buying my plane tickets.  -- Steve

Steve -- Get out your credit card.  The Steel City Big Pour is happening on Saturday, Septembeer 12, 2009.  Be sure to sign up for our weekly e-Blast (go to www.constructionjunction.org) so you'll know exactly when tickets go on sale.  And when they do... don't delay.  The Big Pour will sell out very quickly.  We'd hate to see you have plane tickets but no Big Pour tickets.  That would be too sad.  -- Cozmo
