Big Pour website is live!
For this week's Blast... a message from the Main Instigator himself, David Lagnese, the founder of the Steel City Big Pour...
Hello Big Pour fans! Dave here... the “Main Instigator” of the Steel City Big Pour. You'll be very happy to know that the Big Pour website is now live. The Big Pour Committee has been diligently working on the 3rd annual Steel City Big Pour and to date, we've lined up 32 of the best craft brewers, 20 great local food establishments, and a host of local artists in an effort to create a seriously unforgettable event.
Just click on the Big Pour icon on CJ's home page to access the Big Pour site. As you can see, the Big Pour artwork honors Woodstock and we truly aspire to live up to that original Woodstock tag line... “nobody attending will ever be the same.” That might seem like a lofty, or even ridiculous goal for a craft beer festival, but we disagree.
Our mission is to make the Steel City Big Pour one of America's best craft beer festivals. Notice that I did not say the biggest. Biggest is most definitely not our goal. Our goal is richness. We're striving to create the most interesting and engaging festival we can by combining the best brewers with the best food and the best live art for a Big Pour that's talked about across the country... maybe even across the world.
So the Big Pour continues with the same great elements of the past along with some new tweaks for 2009 including five new breweries, a number of additional food partners and an array of artists who'll be sawing up logs, pouring molten glass and molding oozing concrete.
We're happy to launch our Steel City Big Pour website with the simultaneous launch of the Big Pour Blog so you can read all of the latest Big Pour news as it happens. Thanks to our web designers at Lava New Media for helping make this possible. We look forward to hearing from you on our Blog so please... let us know what you think.
-- David Lagnese, the Main Instigator
