e-Blast

June 16- June 22, 2008

We love hearing from you!

We've been catching up on our mail and have to say... we love hearing from you!

We love that so many people write to say how much they appreciate and value our store.  Even visitors to Pittsburgh tend to write, saying they wish they had a CJ in their home town.  You help put an extra bounce in our step.

We're tickled pink that you love our new website and e-Blast format.  A big THANK YOU goes out to the web experts at Lava New Media for their skills, creativity, dedication and professionalism.  We promise our website will keep getting better and better.

We also love knowing what you want.  For instance, just recently we've been asked if we have stained glass, fencing, rocks, bricks, lumber, paint, cast iron pedestal sinks, plexiglass, baseboard, railings, farm sinks and even bowling balls.  We get it all.  The lesson... don't be shy about donating.  Someone can always use what you can't.  However, see DONATE first to make sure your donation fits within the parameters of what we accept.

And lastly, we love hearing your constructive criticisms and suggestions.  CJ customers have a lot of good ideas and we appreciate you helping us be the best we can be.

Keep it coming!

The CJ Buzz

We're getting an usual donation.  Duct Mate.  Six pallets worth.  It'll be priced to move and we'll have enough to adhere the whole city together.  We're also getting, during the week of June 30th, forty-five brand new shower and bath bases.  They'll be all different shapes and sizes.

Call for old refrigerators

Construction Junction needs old refrigerators that, in conjunction with local artists, we can turn into kegerators.  Do you have an old refrigerator that you don't want anymore?  If so, we want it and we'll even come get it.  Email bonnie@constructionjunction.org to schedule a pick up.  Any by the way...  we need artists too!!

CJ Q&A

I had some family members stop in last month and they were surprised and really pleased with CJ.  They wanted to know if you have similiar sites throughout the states, particularly in South Carolina, North Carolina and/or California.  I use your tile pieces for arts and crafts projects and at our family reunions I'm in charge of activities, so let me know.  -- Velma

Hi Velma...  As of right now there is only one "Construction Junction", BUT lucky for you... there are many many nonprofit and for profit reuse centers across the country that are just like CJ.  We know, we've been to many of them.  The Building Materials Reuse Association has a great national directory that we always refer people to.  On their site you'll find 17 reuse centers in South Carolina, 55 in North Carolina and 180 in California!  Best of luck to you.  -- Cozmo
