We're getting ready
We really only have one thing on our mind these days... and that's getting ready for the Steel City Big Pour and the thousands of people who will be arriving at Construction Junction!!
All hands on deck! We're sweeping, loading, stacking, moving, painting, fixing, chalking, preping, hanging, stocking, etc., etc., etc. We're looking forward to a great event. Please note that our store is closed the day of this event, Septembeer 12th. We re-open for regular business hours on Sunday, September 13th.
The CJ Buzz
Our Litterbug Bobblehead promotion ends Friday, September 11th and was a big success. We'll have to think about repeating this promotion as everyone really seemed to have a lot of fun with it.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
September 19, 2009Do you have hazardous household products in the basement, garage and other storage areas of your home? If you or someone you know can’t use them, or if they are simply outdated or no longer needed, please do the right thing for the environment and dispose of them properly at this Southwestern Pennsylvania Household Hazardous Waste Task Force collection event.
Fee: $2/gallon - cash only
Acceptable Items Include:
- aerosol cans
- automotive fluids - motor oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, brake fluid
- batteries
- chemistry sets
- compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs)
- gasoline and kerosene
- household cleaners - ammonia, drain openers, acid cleaners, oven cleaners
- mercury
- paint products - latex, oil based, alkyd based, arts/crafts chemicals, rust preservatives, creosote, water sealers, paint thinners, furniture strippers
- pesticides/herbicides - rodent killers, insecticides, weed killers, mothballs, fertilizer
- photo chemicals
- pool chemicals

I just found out about the Steel City Big Pour and am disappointed that I will not be able to attend (sold out). Will the e-Blast include a reminder of next years event so I can purchase tickets when they go on sale for 2010? -- Jennifer
