Bulk sheet goods
As we've been mentioning in our recent e-Blasts... CJ has received a large donation of sheet goods that we're selling at very significantly reduced prices. A summary of the breadth of what we have is below. Some of these materials will be available in our store but the vast majority of the materials will be available for bulk purchasing only.
Sheets of MDF
- Sheets of Homasote - 1/2 x 4 x 8
- Sheets of Red Oak and Maple Vaneer - 1/32 x 4 x 8
- Sheets of Almond, Black and Hardrock Maple Panolam - 1 x 4 x 8
- Sheets of Cabinet Grade White Maple, Red Oak, Maple, Walnut, Cherry and Natural Birch vaneered on plywood, MDF and particle board cores in sizes that range from 1/4" to 1" thick and sheets that are 4x8 or 4x10. These sheets goods are of various grades (mostly A) and some have UV coatings on one or both sides.
As we said... most items are available for bulk purchase only. If you're interested in purchasing these items in bulk (approximately 10 to 12 pallets), we'll work with you on quantity and free delivery. All materials will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. The last day to arrange a bulk delivery is December 10th. A deposit of 50% is due at the time of order (credit card or delivery of a check); the remainder will be billed net 15 days on delivery. If you wish to purchase a quantity that is not eligible for free delivery, we will arrange delivery costs and logistics with you individually.
We're very excited to be offering these materials at a significantly reduced rate and look forward to hearing from you. An update to date list of what we specifically have available can be provided upon request. If you're interested in making a bulk purchase or have any additional questions, please contact Shannon Clover at sclover @ constructionjunction dot org.
The CJ Buzz
A quick reminder... the Four Frozen Farmers are rolling in from the fields and will be onsite next weekend (December 11th to 13th from 9am to 9pm) selling Christmas Trees.
Trees are grown locally in Indiana County, and this year they'll be offering the soft-needled, long-lasting, aromatic firs including Fraser Firs, from 6-10’ along with Canaan Firs, from 6-7’, and some cute tabletop trees from 3-5’.
You can feel good about buying a locally grown Christmas tree. Live and cut Christmas trees are an ecologically responsible choice. Tree farms provide habitat for birds and wildlife, add oxygen to our atmosphere, and maintain forested areas that may otherwise be developed. New seedlings are planted in place of each cut tree.
So come out and see them – Jen Montgomery from Blackberry Meadows Farm, Joshua Burnett and Susanna Meyer from Grow Pittsburgh, and Neil Stauffer, from Penn’s Corner Farm Alliance. They've been helping you connect to fresh, local food all year – now let them help you select your perfect, local Christmas tree! For more info, please contact 4frozenfarmers at gmail dot com."

Free firewood
The staff at CJ has started stock piling pallets that we can't make use of so that someone else can make use of them as firewood. Please help yourself to as many of these pallets as you'd like. Please click on the "read more" for a photo... and here's to the beauty of use and reuse.
