Despite the exceptionally frigid weather outside (considering our barely heated warehouse)... it may come as a surprise but there's a lot happening these days at Construction Junction. For example...
The holiday season always brings around CJ's annual Holiday Breakfast for our staff. This year our breakfast will be held on Wednesday, December 16th and as such the store will be opening two hours late at 10am instead of our regular 8am. Please make a note of it.
December also always brings around the Four Frozen Farmers and their Christmas trees. They're out there now in the wind and the chill setting up for this weekend and trust me... they are completely frozen.
Creative Reuse Pittsburgh weathering the season and will be open on Wednesdays from 2pm - 5 pm for the remainder of December. Plus they'll also be open for a longer period on Saturday, January 2nd from 9am - 5pm.
And for all of you who have been wishing for classes and workshops... Creative Reuse is offering an upcoming workshop called Little Books by Hand. This will be a basic bookbinding workshop and will be held on Wednesday, December 16th from 2pm - 4pm at Creative Reuse located inside Construction Junction. Cost is $15.
Lastly... be sure to check out The Pillow Project's upcoming event called SORTA SATURDAY happening Saturday, December 12th.

The CJ Buzz
One could argue that the words "Buzz" and "Best" could at times be used interchangeably. That's why were sharing this week's news of CJ's "placing" in the City Paper's recent Best of Pittsburgh edition.
In the Food & Drink section, City Paper staff picked CJ's Steel City Uni-Growler as the best new beer bottle. And in the Goods & Services section, City Paper readers picked CJ as the best place to buy used/recycled gear. In case you hadn't thought of it already... our Steel City Uni-Growler is available for purchase at CJ for $5 and would make a most awesome present this holiday season.
By the way... as you can see in the photo to the right, the City Paper is now available at Construction Junction.
