Many of the food partners and brewers participating in this year's Big Pour are planning events in the preceeding weeks because hey... might as well start the party early!
We'll keep you updated on all of the fun and folly as Pre Big Pour Events are scheduled. Be sure to check back often to see the latest listings. Also, be sure to attend the events and in turn support the organizations that support the Big Pour. In doing so you'll be supporting Construction Junction too and we thank you for that.
At some of the events we'll even be raffling off a few Big Pour tickets!!
Beers, Brewers & Raffles - The Week Before
Can't wait for the Big Pour? Want to win a pair of tickets? Here are some Pre Big Pour Events to meet your needs. A pair of Big Pour tickets will be raffled off at each of these five events listed below. Click on the links for more information.

Hot Jam + Big Pour
Join us as we pour it on for Construction Junction.
The Pittsburgh Glass Center (PGC) is partnering with Construction Junction to make custom and recycled beer glasses for the Steel City Big Pour. At tonight’s free open house, we¹ll be making beer glasses of all shapes and sizes, plus we’ll be raffling tickets to the Big Pour.

Millvale Brew Festival
The Borough of Millvale, Millvale MainStreet and The Millvale Borough Development Corporation will host their Third Annual Brew Festival on August 15, 2009 at the Millvale Riverfront Park. The event will feature two sessions, 1-4 PM or 5-8 PM.
Tickets are sold separately for each session and will include beer, live entertainment, food, and souvenir logo tasting glass. Ticket cost is $30 (advance) or $35 (at the event). Bike or kayak to the event and your ticket is $28. Designated drivers can purchase a food ticket for $10 (advance) or $15 (at the event). Millvale Riverfront Park is on the shore of the Allegheny River.
Craft, Micro and Specialty Import Brews from around the country will be featured along with local food and live entertainment. For information on purchasing tickets and an up to date brewer list log on towww.millvalepa.com.
Millvale was devastated by flooding from Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and is still recovering from the devastation. Monies raised will help the Nonprofit Millvale Borough Development Corporation and Millvale MainStreet stabilize, revitalize and rejuvenate Millvale’s neighborhoods, through the development of housing, and businesses.

Summer Evening Beer Tasting Party
Point Brugge Cafe is teaming up with East End Brewing for a Summer Evening Beer Tasting Party.
Come sample great dishes with locally grown ingredients from Wild Purveyors, Naturally Grown, Three Sisters Farm and others served alongside small batch specialties and favorite beers from East End Brewing.

Harris Grill will be hosting Troegs Brewing Company and Erie Brewing Company with special features such as Trogenator candied bacon, Railbender candied bacon and a special collaboration beer made exclusively for the Harris Grill.
The aforementioned "Black & Gold" beer will be served in a firkin to help folks gear up for the Big Pour and another Steeler's season (the 10th is the first home game).

While we have these guys in town, Fat Head's will be serving Founder's Canadian Breakfast Stout. This is a Maple Barrel aged Imperial Stout. We don't have much... so be here by 11 am.
What better to go with Maple than Waffles. We will be supplying some Belgium Waffles from Point Brugge Cafe in Point Breeze. These are THE BEST waffles in the city.
