Community Design Center (CDC)

The Community Design Center of Pittsburgh (CDCP) is a non-profit organization that improves the quality of life in the Pittsburgh region by encouraging good design of the built environment. With help from the CDC, Construction Junction will be using a $15,000 Community Design Center of Pittsburgh (CDCP) grant to launch a facility-wide green upgrade. The grant will help position CJ as a regional model for sustainable site development. Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation

The Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation assists homeowners who are looking for suppliers for goods and services, and develops historic preservation programs and services in the Pittsburgh region. Every year, the foundation hosts the Old House Fair for dealers in historically rooted supplies. Construction Junction has participated as a vendor in the annual event to promote conservation through the purchase reused building materials that help consumers save money and the environment at the same time. Construction Junction’s historic items amount to 15 percent to 20 percent of its supply at any one time.
